In a move that has left attendees both bewildered and excited, San Diego Comic-Con has announced a unique challenge: a pre-release copy of the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 has been placed at the center of an intricate maze constructed entirely from Funko Pop figures.
The maze, which sprawls across a significant portion of the convention center, is composed of towering walls made from thousands of boxed Funko Pops, featuring characters ranging from obscure anime icons to mainstream superheroes. The labyrinthine setup has quickly become the talk of the convention, drawing crowds of eager gamers and collectors alike.
“I’ve never seen anything like it,” exclaimed attendee Max Gamer, dressed as Spider-Man. “It’s like they combined my two favorite things: video games and collectibles. I just hope I don’t get distracted by the sea of dead-eyed vinyl figures staring into my soul on my way to the center!”
Comic-Con organizers have stated that the maze is not only a physical challenge but also a test of pop culture knowledge. “We’ve included a few puzzles and riddles along the way, all based on the Funko figures used in the maze. To make it more of a challenge we’ve employed the guy from Midsommer with the comically large hammer to bludgeon those who get the riddles wrong,” said Comic-Con representative, Poppy McCollector.
The prize, a coveted early copy of “Grand Theft Auto 6,” has added an extra layer of excitement to the event. “We wanted to do something special for the fans,” explained a Rockstar Games spokesperson. “What better way than combining the thrill of Comic-Con with the anticipation for GTA 6? Our involvement also means the opportunity to dress like a regular person while able to call it a cosplay.”
For those able to traverse the maze and reach the coveted copy of GTA6, they must then convince a half-naked and inebriated Joss Wheadon to produce a new season of Firefly.
