MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Grant Morris texted his blind date from the previous night to see how they enjoyed their evening, only to receive a single Ms. Marvel emote as a response, confirmed sources still totally lost as to what that means.
“She kept saying she was having a good time, though I wasn’t totally convinced,” said Morris. “I’ve never been good at reading people, so I thought following up with a text message the day after would make it easier to be honest about her feelings. She responded with a Ms. Marvel emote so I’m even more confused. I think the thumbs up means she had a good time, but there’s something so sarcastic about that wink and smile.”
Madisynn gave reporters her recollection of the date, and her thoughts on Morris.
“Oh, Grant? Yeah . . . really great,” said Madisynn. “I totally had a great time, I guess. Are those pistachios? I love these. Oh, no thanks I don’t want any. Anyway, we went out or whatever and got drinks and dinner and talked and stuff. I remember thinking ‘Oh wow you’re wearing that’ when I first saw him. That was surprising. He had interesting hair. I still can’t believe we matched.”
As always, Madisynn’s bestie was there to support her friend in times of need.
“I always tell Madisynn to text me if she needs me to come pick her up, or call her with some phony excuse to get out of a bad date. She texted me during her date with Grant once saying, ‘omg this guy’. I was concerned at first but the more I thought about it I realized her text could mean things were going good or bad. I asked if she was okay and a few hours later she responded by saying ‘well that was a date’. I’m glad she’s fine but I have no idea how it went.”
Reportedly, there was a second date that ended up back at Morris’ house after, though the couple has been trapped inside the bedroom for the last 16 hours while Grant tries to determine if Madisynn has actually given consent or not.
